Spotsylvania Man Arrested for Theft of Guns

A Spotsylvania County man is facing multiple charges of larceny after being arrested Thursday for the theft of firearms.
Michael J. Foley Jr. (in photo), 23, is being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail in Stafford County, according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested by sheriff’s deputies and detectives Thursday after several guns were reported stolen from a home in the 7000 block of Monument Court, in the Bloomsbury subdivision in Spotsylvania.

Detectives initiated the case against Foley based on crime scene evidence and a follow-up investigation, the sheriff’s office said.
Foley was charged with four counts of felony larceny, three counts of felony larceny with the intent to sell, two counts of felony possession of stolen property, and two counts of felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, the sheriff’s office said.
