Spotsylvania Man 'Tickled' After Winning $140K Lottery Prize
A Spotsylvania man told lottery officials he was tickled after winning $140,000 from the Pick 5 game.

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA — A Spotsylvania man won $140,000 from the Virginia Lottery's Pick 5 game, lottery officials said.
The man, Maurice Lawson, won his prize from a single Oct. 17 drawing.
Lawson bought four tickets and picked the same five digit combination each time: 4-3-4-4-4. Two of his selections were winning numbers.

"I was so tickled and happy," Lawson told the Virginia Lottery. "I couldn't believe it!"
Two of Lawson's tickets won the $50,000 top prize as he choose the "exact order" option. He won $40,000 from his other two tickets.

Lawson bought his tickets at Weis Market on Salem Fields Boulevard in Spotsylvania County.
Virginia Lottery profits support schools throughout the state. Last year, Spotsylvania County schools received more than $14.6 million from the Virginia Lottery.
