Spotsylvania Shooting Leaves 1 Victim With Serious Injuries: Police
Two people were arrested after a shooting in Spotsylvania County left a victim with serious injuries, authorities said.
SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA — Two people were arrested after a shooting and police chase in Spotsylvania County, the county's sheriff's office said in a report on Wednesday.
The shooting left a 24-year-old man with serious injuries, according to authorities. He was taken to a trauma center to receive treatment for multiple gunshot wounds.
Authorities identified the suspects as 21-year-old Indiya Green and 22-year-old Kisean Wright. Wright and Green were both held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail after they were taken into custody on Saturday.

Green is charged with one count of eluding. Wright is charged with aggravated malicious wounding, shooting into an occupied dwelling, and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
The shooting occurred on Saturday night at the Super Value Inn on Patriot Highway in Spotsylvania. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to the lower body, according to the police report.

Witnesses told deputies that the suspects had driven away and provided a description of their vehicle. A deputy found the suspect's vehicle on Spotsylvania Parkway a short time later, authorities said.
The deputy tried to pull over the vehicle, but the driver fled to the Holleybrooke neighborhood. There, deputies arrested the driver and the passenger, who they identified as Green and Wright.
Investigators believe Wright and the victim knew each other. The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office has not provided any additional information on what could have led to the shooting.
