Spotsylvania Ticket Wins $10K As Mega Millions Grows To $1 Billion
A lottery ticket worth $10,000 was sold at a Spotsylvania Giant as the Mega Millions jackpot grew to $1.025 billion after Tuesday's drawing.

SPOTSYLVANIA, VA — A lottery ticket purchased in Spotsylvania is now worth $10,000, the Virginia Lottery said. Lottery officials said the ticket was purchased at Giant Food on Courthouse Road in Spotsylvania.
The Mega Millions ticket matched four of the first five numbers and the Mega Ball number in Tuesday's drawing, lottery officials said. The Spotsylvania ticket is one of four lucky tickets from Virginia that earned $10,000 in Tuesday's drawing.
However, no ticket in Virginia or the rest of the nation matched all the number to win the Mega Millions jackpot. The grand prize has now grown to $1.025 billion, according to the Virginia Lottery.

The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for Friday night at 11 p.m.
The odds of matching all six numbers to win the Mega Millions jackpot are greater than 1 in 300,000,000. The odds of a ticket winning any prize are 1 in 24. Prizes range from $2 to the $1 billion jackpot.
