Spotsylvania Wallet Thief Charged With East Coast Crime Spree: Report
The suspect was nabbed in New Jersey following thefts at local restaurant, says Sheriff's Office.

A man who's been charged with stealing wallets and other items at a Spotsylvania County restaurant has also been implicated in thefts in four other states, according to a media report.
James M. Dowd, 44, is facing a grand larceny charge in Spotsylvania stemming from a March 6 incident at the Kobe Japanese Steakhouse, 10119 Southpoint Pkwy., according to Capt. Jeff Pearce, a Sheriff's Office spokesman.

Dowd, of no fixed address, allegedly stole wallets from two waitresses and other items at the restaurant, the Free-Lance Star reported.
Dowd also has been charged with stealing cars and personal items in Florida, South Carolina, Maryland and New Jersey, according to the Free Lance-Star. After leaving Virginia, he was arrested last month in Union Township, N.J.
