Stafford Man Dies After Car Crashes Into Fence, Tree: Police
A Stafford man has died after a car accident on Monday night, according to police. Authorities said speed might be a factor.
STAFFORD, VA — A Stafford man has died from injuries he suffered in a car crash on Monday evening. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, according to police.
Police identified the man as Sean O'Driscoll, a 26-year-old Stafford resident. The crash occurred around 6 p.m. on Monday, in the 800 block of Mountain View Road.
On Monday, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of an accident. Deputies found a vehicle had gone off the road before striking a tree and a fence.

Authorities said O'Driscoll was a passenger in the vehicle. Emergency personnel pulled him from the vehicle and performed life-saving measures. O'Driscoll was then taken to an area hospital, according to authorities.
O'Driscoll died at the hospital as a result of injuries suffered in the crash.

Stafford's Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the incident. Their preliminary investigation indicated that speed was a factor in the crash, according to a news release.
