Stafford Police Investigating Apparent Murder-Suicide

Cause of death to be determined by medical examiner: Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

In a shooting incident Friday night, a Stafford County couple died in what county police believe to be a murder-suicide.

Responding at 11:37 p.m. to a report of shots fired, sheriff’s deputies found the bodies of Ashley Deanna Hoffman, 32, and Ramon Deandre Williams, 34, at their home at 305 Garrison Woods Drive, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office. Both had died of gunshot wounds, the sheriff’s office said.

Hoffman and Williams were boyfriend and girlfriend and lived at the North Stafford residence. Sheriff’s detectives believe the incident was a murder-suicide, and the investigation is ongoing, the sheriff’s office said Saturday.

A relative of one of the shooting victims called police after being notified by a juvenile who lives in the residence. The juvenile had heard the shots and ran to the relative’s house just down the road, the sheriff’s office said.

The bodies were sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Richmond, where the exact cause of death will be determined, the sheriff’s office said Saturday.
