STAFFORD, VA—A man who stole a vehicle and $60,000 worth of tools from a Stafford business several weeks ago was arrested earlier this month in central New York, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Harry Herman Lamb, 53, was charged in Stafford with grand larceny and petit larceny. In New York, he was charged with possession of stolen property and eluding.

On March 2, police responded to a report of stolen tools at Fredericksburg Public Auto Auction on Warrenton Road. The tools were found to have been stolen from a locked box that had been pried open. Lamb, nowhere to be found, had been staying in a room beside the garage.

Stafford police then found that Lamb had been busted in New York after fleeing from cops and crashing his vehicle. Turns out the vehicle had been stolen from the Stafford business, where had had access to dealer tags and the keys.
