When the deputy walked up to the Nissan, the woman behind the wheel drove into him. She struck the deputy, his motorcycle, and another vehicle before driving down Garrisonville Road and stopping at the 610 Car Wash, authorities said.

At the car wash, the driver abandoned the car and ran into the woods, police said. Investigators noted that a girl who was a passenger in the car also ran into the woods.

The sheriff's office K-9 and drone units found the girl, but they did not find the driver on Tuesday. Authorities arrested Fagbewesa on Wednesday in Baltimore, Maryland.
