Stafford Woman Assaults Cop In Woodbridge: Police

WOODBRIDGE, VA—A drunk Stafford woman assaulted a cop during a traffic stop early Saturday in the 2900 block of Dale Boulevard, according to Prince William County Police. Shivali Sobti, 23, of 1 B-Vue Avenue, was charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, driving under the influence and obstruction of justice.

Shortly after 2 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for suspected "driver impairment" in the aforementioned area. The driver refused to get out of the vehicle but when told she was under arrest, she kicked the officer in the chest. The officer wasn't injured, and she ultimately was subdued and taken to jail.
