Standoff Between Wanted Man, Stafford Cops Resolved With Drone: Police
Deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff's Office used a drone to resolve a standoff with a wanted man on Thursday, authorities said.

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — Deputies used a drone to resolve a standoff with a wanted man in Stafford County on Wednesday, the sheriff's office reported.
No injuries were reported in the incident, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities identified the wanted man as 31-year-old Guy Castonguay. He was wanted for a probation violation.

Castonguay's next court date is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 30. He is being held without bond at the Rappohannock Regional Jail.
At 11 a.m. on Thursday, deputies arrived in the 700 block of Edwards Drive to look for Castonguay. Investigators believed Castonguay could be armed.

"Deputies surrounded the residence and attempted to call Castonguay out for nearly an hour," the sheriff's office said. "The suspect refused to exit the residence and Drone and K-9 Teams responded to assist."
A Stafford County sergeant flew a drone into the home and found Castonguay crouched in the basement. Deputies gave additional commands and Castonguay surrendered.
"Excellent teamwork by the deputies to leverage technology and arrest the offender," the sheriff's office wrote on Facebook.
