Stolen Car Crashed, Abandoned In Stafford County: Police
Authorities are looking for the driver who crashed a stolen car into a street sign and a fire hydrant before abandoning it in Stafford.

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A man crashed a stolen car and abandoned it in Stafford County on Wednesday, authorities said.
No injuries were reported in the single-vehicle crash, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators are still looking for the driver, who they described as a "younger white male wearing wearing a paint splashed jacket, a black face mask, and blue jeans."

The crash occurred around 12 p.m. on Wednesday on Noble Court. A witness told police that they saw a speeding vehicle lose control and hit a fire hydrant and a street sign. The driver of the crashed car immediately ran away, authorities said.
When a deputy arrived on the scene, they found the damaged vehicle. Authorities noted that the vehicle was reported stolen from Prince William County on Tuesday.

"A perimeter was established in hopes of locating the driver; however, due to the major head start the driver had, deputies were unable to locate him," the sheriff's office wrote on Facebook. "The registered owner of the vehicle was notified and will be receiving their vehicle shortly."
