Summer Meals Program Comes To Stafford County Schools

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — The Summer Food Service Program is coming to Stafford County schools. The program will provide free breakfast and lunch to children throughout June and July.

The meals will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. The program will not operate on June 19, June 20, or July 4.

"Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability or age," the school system said in a news release. "There will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service."

Here are the participating locations, dates, and times throughout Stafford County:

• Anne E. Moncure Elementary
  • June 12 through July 7
  • Breakfast 7:45–8:15 a.m., Lunch 10:30 a.m.– 12 p.m
• Anthony Burns Elementary
  • June 12 through June 29
  • Breakfast 7:45–8:15 a.m., Lunch 10:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.
• Falmouth Elementary
  • June 12 through July 7
  • Breakfast 7:45–8:15 a.m., Lunch 10:30 a.m.–12 p.m.
• Kate Waller Barrett Elementary
  • June 12 through July 7
  • Breakfast 7:45–8:15 a.m., Lunch 10:30 a.m.–12 p.m.
• Rocky Run Elementary
  • June 12 through July 7
  • Breakfast 7:45–8:15 a.m., Lunch 10 a.m.–11:30 a.m.
• Widewater Elementary
  • June 12 through July 14
  • Breakfast 7:45 a.m.–8:15 a.m., Lunch 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
