Suspect At Large In Fatal Fredericksburg Shooting: Police

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — City police are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting in the Central Park Townhomes neighborhood Monday night. The shooting, which happened just before 11 p.m., killed a 34-year-old Spotsylvania County man, police said.

Police responded to the 800 block of Denton Circle and found Deontay Brown in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. Brown was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Patrol officers set up a perimeter around the location of the shooting while detectives started the search for a suspect. A K-9 track was also conducted, police said.
