Officials Seek Suspect In Stafford Shooting That Injured Man

The shooting happened at a Stafford convenience store and officials are actively searching for the suspect on Saturday night.

STAFFORD, VA — Officials are searching for the suspect in a shooting that left a man injured at a convenience store in Stafford County on Saturday night.

The shooting happened at the Quick Mart at 115 Onville Road in Stafford, said Sheriff David Decatur's office shortly after 9:15 p.m.

First responders took a man to the hospital with "what appears to be a non-life-threatening" gunshot wound, the sheriff's office added.

There is a large law enforcement presence in the area as police search for the suspect, who fled the scene before officials arrived. He is described as "a thin black male wearing a white shirt and black mask," Decatur's office said.
