Teen Shooting Victim in Critical Condition

Multiple guns were found throughout the home, according to Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office. Investigators hoping for tips.

A teen shooting victim is in critical, but stable condition at Mary Washington Hospital after he was found in a home overnight, according to Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a shooting report at 4:31 a.m. Wednesday to the 5000 block of Blarney Street in the Chancellor Green subdivision.

They found a 17-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body, according to SCSO Capt. Troy J. Skebo.

“Detectives and the Sheriff’s Office Forensic Unit have been on scene most of the day collecting evidence,” Skebo said in a statement. ”Preliminary investigation revealed drug activity and multiple firearms found throughout the home discarded on the floor.”

The only suspect description in the investigation is a man wearing a mask.
