Thanksgiving
For me, Thanksgiving is about doing small things that may make big difference in others life.

Thanksgiving is a National Holiday many of us love to celebrate along with our families. We should be grateful to God for His blessings. We should also spend this day with our families and make them feel special.
As an Ahmadi Muslim girl I celebrate Thanksgiving everyday by offering prayers five times a day and by being thankful for what God has given to me and my family. Thanksgiving is also the time for me to remember my loved ones who have passed away. I think we should also specially thank our mothers who support us unconditionally. Mother is name of a relation which is full of sacrifice and she make us feel special. After God, she has granted us this beautiful life. The Holy Qur’an states “And God brought you forth from the wombs of your mothers while you knew nothing, and gave you ears and eyes and hearts, that you might be grateful” (16:79).
There are many different ways to thank God. If you help someone it comes back as God states in this verse of the Quran, ”If you are grateful, I will, surely, bestow more favors on you” (14:8). We can do charity and serve humanity by helping others in different ways. Serving humanity is part of my faith. And this is a way where we can show others that we care for them. I have been a volunteer for Humanity First USA since last two years and have seen that if we want to serve there are countless avenues.
