Theater, New Retail Planned This Fall In North Stafford: Report

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Construction is slated to begin this fall on a new 500,000-square-foot shopping center located in North Stafford, according to reports. The shopping center will include retail stores, a movie theater and 450 apartment units.

The Garrison at Stafford will be located in the 400 block of Garrisonville Road, The Free Lance-Star reported. The shopping center will include Kohl’s, Target, Lowe’s, Starbucks and other retail stores and restaurants.

Reston-based The Pence Group is developing the shopping center. The first phase of the project starting this fall will develop 200,000 square feet of retail and a little over 100 apartment units. The second phase will include a supermarket and more retail stores.

Geoff Pence, president of The Pence Group, said he hopes to soon sign a lease with Regal Cinemas. Pence said agreements have been secured with both Olive Garden and Longhorn Steakhouse restaurants. He also said he expects retail stores to open 14 to 16 months after builders start moving dirt.
