Truck Slams Into Pickup, Home Struck In Possible DUI Case: Sheriff

A Toyota truck driven by a Stafford man slammed into a Ford pickup, which then crashed into a home, authorities say. He faces a DUI charge.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A 29-year-old Stafford man is facing multiple charges, including driving under the influence, after his Toyota truck struck an unoccupied Ford Super Duty pickup truck with so much force that the Ford crashed into a house about 175 feet away, according to authorities.

A Stafford County Sheriff’s deputy responded around 10 p.m., on Friday, for the report of an automobile crash in the 1000 block of Ramoth Church Road in the Fredericksburg area, according to the incident report.

Investigators said a Toyota truck heading westbound on Ramoth Church Road at a high rate of speed left the road and crashed into the unoccupied Ford pickup, according to the sheriff's office. The pickup then traveled about 175 feet, coming to a stop by slamming into a neighbors’ home, which was unoccupied at the time of the crash.

The Toyota driver, identified as Aiden Conn of Stafford, was injured and exhibited signs of being intoxicated, according to the sheriff’s office. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

No other injuries were reported.

Inside Conn's truck, the deputy found several bottles of alcohol that had been purchased earlier in the day, authorities say. The Toyota was reportedly totaled.

Deputies obtained arrest warrants for Conn, charging him with driving under the influence, driving without a license, driving without insurance, and reckless driving. The warrants were served at the hospital.

Searching the totaled Toyota truck on Friday night, a Stafford County Sheriff's deputy recovered several bottles of alcohol that had been purchased earlier in the day, according to the sheriff's office. (SCSO)
