Unbeaten James Monroe Travels to King George
Ethan Preston and crew will look for 5-0 Friday at 7:30 p.m.

There seems to be a pattern at work here. Each Friday (or Monday in recent weeks) James Monroe takes to the gridiron, and each time they walk away with a lopsided victory.
This Monday was more of the same, as the Yellow Jackets appeared to be playing on a completely different astral plane than the visiting Eastern View Cyclones. That 61-6 victory is in the books, and Friday, Coach Serbay's squad will hop on the bus and head down Rt. 3 to take on 2-2 King George High School.
With the short week, the Yellow Jackets have had only had three full days of practice to prepare for the Foxes. But will it really matter? The short answer is, no. Jayem will run through King George, like they blasted through Tabb, Freedom, Stafford, and Eastern View.

The transitive property shouldn't be applied to sports, but nonetheless consider the following logic: last week King George lost to Washington and Lee. If you were keeping score when James Monroe scrimmaged W&L Aug. 18, the Jackets won about 49-0.
While comparing who has beaten who is usually bad science, in this case it's a pretty good indication of the carnage to come. Expect just as much of a blowout as last week as James Monroe improves to 5-0 on the season and 2-0 in Battlefield District play.
