Vehicles Parked in VRE Lot Hit by Burglar: Police
Thief broke windows, stole cash from one vehicle, say Fredericksburg police.

An unknown thief shattered the windows of three vehicles parked in a Virginia Railway Express commuter lot on Monday morning, and the Fredericksburg police are investigating the break-ins.
The police responded at 7 a.m. Monday to the report of a break-in at VRE Parking Lot G, 399 Prince Edward St., according to a police report. A commuter told a patrol officer that an unknown person had shattered his vehicle’s passenger-side window.
The police also discovered two other vehicles in the VRE lot with broken windows. One vehicle owner said that about $10 in change and keys to his rental property were missing.
