VRE Santa Train Tickets Details, Schedule

On sale Monday morning, tickets for this popular holiday event sell out fast every year. Here's the details on when you can get yours.

Even the merriest of us sometimes sticks their heads in the fall leaves and proclaims they won’t even think about the holidays until after Thanksgiving.

If you do that, you’ll miss out on one of the area’s most popular family events. The VRE’s Santa Train will run Dec. 12. Tickets go on sale Monday, Nov. 23, and they sell out fast. See schedule and ticket information.

Children and family members will spend an hour riding the train with Santa and Mrs. Claus. The event is part of Operation Lifesaver, educating children about safety around railroad tracks. Also, there will be treats for children and music from local high school choirs.
