Walker-Grant Middle Schoolers Turn to High Schoolers

Walker-Grant Middle School students graduated Thursday in a one-hour ceremony.

The smiles on their faces and the proud parents in the bleachers of the Walker-Grant Middle School gymnasium said it all:  they did it!   

There were 216 middle school students who graduated from eighth-grade today. The one-hour event honored their accomplishment with remarks from SCA President David Hough, Principal Melanie Kay-Wyatt, School Board member Jannan Holmes, Superintendent David Melton, and a welcome for next year from James Monroe High School Principal John Gordon.
