On The Walls: Postal Annual

This First Friday: Second Annual Postal Installation, photographic collaboration with Lost Tribe Tattoos LLC. and Random Acts Network launch

Join Art Mart FXBG on First Friday December second from 6 to 9pm as we open Postal Annual Exhibition. This exciting mail art exhibition has received pieces from artists all over the world, Including war zones, peaceful nations and every country in between.

This Holiday season come see global, local art all under one roof. In addition to exciting new works from all over the world, the Art Mart team will be creating an interactive installation to showcase last year’s mail art entries.

Following last December’s success of splitting the gallery into different exhibitions, we will also be showcasing a series of Art Mart’s photographic collaboration entitled The Lost Tribe Ink Series. Tattoo artists from the newly opened Lost Tribes Tattoos LLC will be at the reception ready to meet our arts community and talk about skin art and photography.

This First Friday we will be also celebrating the launch of Random Acts Network and inviting people to participate in our global # LoveNotes Flashmob campaign right here in Fredericksburg! We will have an information table and love letter templates available for pick up.

RAN is an activist /artist led, collaborative effort to engage everyone in random but orchestrated acts of kindness through campaigns that focus on giving you the tools you need to everyday activism. This Random Acts of Kindness Network initiative is spearheaded by Freebyrunning, Sedshadowhawk and Art Mart.

Refreshments and good music are always free.

As it is the Trolley tour that will take you to other galleries in town, compliments of the Fredericksburg Arts Commission.
