Wanted Man Arrested After Crash In Stafford: Police
A man wanted on various charges related to domestic assault was arrested Tuesday after a police chase and a crash in Stafford: SCSO.
STAFFORD, VA—A man wanted on various charges related to domestic assault on July 4 was arrested Tuesday after a police chase and a crash in the area of Dogwood Airpark, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Stephen Michael Brown, 31, of Stafford County, was charged with abduction, domestic assault, violation of a protective order and two counts of annoying telephone calls.
Also arrested was the driver of the vehicle, Rebecca Lynn Conley, 47, of Stafford County. She was charged with felony eluding, reckless driving, driving on suspended, trespassing and obstruction of justice.
Shortly after midnight, a detective watched Brown leave a home on Forbes Street and get into a while Chrysler minivan. As it drove off, the detective requested a marked unit stop the vehicle. But when the unit activated its emergency equipment at Forbes Street and Harrell Road, the minivan took off and a chase began.

It continued throughout the area, including Strawberry Lane, Thomas Jefferson Place and Layhill Drive. It ended when Conley lost control and crashed into a ditch. She got out and tried to run but quickly was detained.
Brown, meanwhile, was held at gunpoint before police moved in and arrested him. His charges were from an incident that occurred in the south end of Stafford County.
