A wanted woman bit a deputy in Stafford County on Tuesday as they tried to arrest her, the sheriff's office said in a report.
STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A wanted woman faces additional charges after she bit a deputy on Tuesday, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said.
The deputy was not seriously injured by the bite, according to authorities.
The sheriff's office identified the woman as Savannah Emigh, a 22-year-old from Mineral. She is charged with obstruction of justice and assault and battery on law enforcement.

The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on Tuesday on Garrison Woods Drive. Deputies said they were able to identify Emigh in a group of people because of her face tattoos.
"If that was not proof enough, deputies called her name and she responded," the sheriff's office said in a report. "When she noticed it was law enforcement however, she changed her answer advising she wasn’t the wanted woman they were looking for. This Jedi mind trick was ineffective."
Despite her changed answer, deputies still tried to arrest Emigh, according to the report. Emigh resisted deputies and bit one of them on the arm. Deputies eventually took her into custody and served her on the outstanding warrants.
"Emigh later apologized for the bite, advising she 'panicked,'" the sheriff's office said.
