Water Main Breaks Plague Downtown Fredericksburg

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Five separate water main breaks are being addressed by public works crews in the downtown area, according to city officials, and temporary loss of water is a possibility. Crews are at Princess Anne and Lafayette Boulevard, Princess Anne and Bridgewater Street, Caroline and Freedom Lane, the 1900 block of Dixon Street and the 800 block of Marye Street.

Once the water is fully restored, it may appear dingy of contain air that can be removed by letting water run through an open faucet. Residents are advised to avoid washing clothes until repairs have been made. If you have any problems Tuesday morning, call 540-372-1023.
