Wear Pink On Walk For Mary Washington Hospital Breast Cancer Fund
Participants in the 2020 Power of Pink Virtual Breast Cancer Walk are encouraged to dress in pink attire and share photos virtually.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — The Mary Washington Hospital Foundation is hosting the 2020 Power of Pink Virtual Breast Cancer Walk to benefit Mary Washington Hospital Foundation’s Breast Cancer Fund as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The 2.2-mile walk will take place virtually to ensure the safety of everyone during the coronavirus crisis. Participants can walk anytime and anywhere they choose between Friday, Oct. 2 and Sunday, Oct. 4.
Since its inception, the walk has raised more than $129,000 for Mary Washington Hospital Foundation's Breast Cancer Fund. All money raised for the fund will be used in the Fredericksburg area.

For this year's walk, the foundation is discouraging participants from walking together in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Participants are encouraged to dress in pink attire and share photos virtually. Prizes will be awarded for the best pink outfit for women and men within various categories based on age. For dogs that will be walking with participants, they can be dressed in their best pink outfit for a chance to win a prize.

It doesn't matter where participants walk. They can take a walk in their neighborhood, at their favorite park, or on a treadmill.
All registered participants will receive a Power of Pink Virtual Breast Cancer Walk branded mask. Participants will also receive a free Chick-fil-A coupon to use at Chick-fil-A in Central Park, Fredericksburg.
The organizers will host a drive-thru swag bag pickup on Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the John F. Fick III Conference Center at 1301 Sam Perry Boulevard in Fredericksburg.
