Week's Weather Starts with Storm Threat: NWS Reports

The final week of July will likely begin with some wet weather, as the National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for parts of Northern Virginia on Monday.
Isolated thunderstorms containing heavy rainfall are in the afternoon forecast throughout the area, and some parts of the region may experience flash flooding due to the storms, the NWS reports.
Rain will remain in the forecast on Tuesday afternoon and more showers could also pop up on Thursday.

- Monday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 88. South wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
- Monday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 3am, then a slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
- Tuesday: A slight chance of showers between 9 a.m. and noon, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Patchy fog before 9 a.m. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 91. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
- Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 71. Southeast wind 3 to 5 mph.
- Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 94. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.
- Wednesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 76.
- Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 95. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
- Thursday night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
- Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 89.
- Friday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 69.
