STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A Mega Millions ticket sold at a Stafford Sheetz won $10,000 in Friday night's drawing, the Virginia Lottery announced on Monday.

The ticket was one of three tickets that won $10,000 in Friday's drawing. A ticket purchased on the Virginia Lottery's website won $20,000.

The winning ticket from Stafford was purchased at the Sheetz at 15 Wyche Road.

Lottery officials said 405,000 Mega Millions tickets purchased in Virginia won prizes in Friday night's drawing. The jackpot winning ticket, worth $1.34 billion, was sold in Illinois.

The $10,000 winning tickets in Virginia matched four of the first five numbers and the Mega Ball number from Friday's drawing. The winning numbers were 13-36-45-57-67, and the Mega Ball number was 14.

Overall chances of winning any prize from the Mega Millions are 1 in 24. The chances of winning the jackpot are much lower — about 1 in 302.5 million. For perspective, the odds of being struck by lightning are less than 1 in 1 million, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
