Woman Assaulted by Unknown Pair Behind Central Park Wawa

A Fredericksburg resident told local police she was assaulted by a man and a woman at the pond behind the Central Park Wawa on Tuesday evening.

Police received a call regarding the assault at approximately 7:30 p.m., and upon reporting to the scene were informed the woman was approached by an unknown white male and an unknown white female.

The female began a verbal confrontation with the victim, and that confrontation quickly escalated into a physical assault. During the physical assault, the male suspect reportedly struck the victim in the face and knocked her to the ground.

Police are still investigating the case, but were given descriptions of both suspects. The female suspect was described as 5-foot-4 with blonde hair. She was wearing a white tank top and black shorts at the time of the assault.

The male was described as 6-feet tall with black hair and facial hair. He was wearing a white tank top and brown cargo shorts.
