Woman Calls Police After Intruder Leaves Free Food in Fredericksburg: Police

Victim says left her locked apartment around 11 a.m. and returned several hours later to find the food, say Fredericksburg Police.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A woman called authorities early Wednesday night to report that someone entered her locked apartment in the 2300 block of Cowan Boulevard, didn't steal anything but instead left food items in the kitchen that didn't belong to her, according to Fredericksburg Police.

There was no sign of forced entry, and there are no suspects or witnesses in the unlawful entry incident.

The woman said she left apartment around 11 a.m. and found the food items in her kitchen after returning several hours later.

Motor Vehicle Theft:

2400 block Cowan Boulevard, 11/23, 5:45 a.m. A City resident reported that she parked her
vehicle in front of her apartment building around 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22 and left
the vehicle unlocked. When she returned to her vehicle the following morning, it was gone. The
stolen vehicle is a 2005 black Ford Escape with license plate VMA-4779. No suspects or
witnesses at this time.

Larceny – Theft from Building:

Wawa, 1140 Carl D. Silver Parkway, 11/25, 11:00 a.m. A citizen reported that she placed her
cell phone on the counter and left the store. After realizing she left her phone at Wawa, she
returned to the store and found it was gone. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Larceny – Theft from Motor Vehicle:

Samson Motor Cars, 1919 Princess Anne Street, 11/26, 8:00 a.m. The dealership owner reported
that an unknown person stole a dealer plate from a vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
200 block Sophia Street, 11/25, 11:30 a.m. A City resident reported that an unknown person
stole the front license plate from her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VRE Commuter Parking Lot G, 399 Prince Edward Street, 11/25, 3:15 p.m. A citizen reported
that he parked his car in the commuter parking lot and took the VRE to work. When he returned
to his vehicle, he discovered the rear passenger window was shattered and his exercise bag
containing shoes and gloves was missing. No other vehicle in the vicinity appeared to be
tampered with. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Regal Cinemas, 3301 Plank Road, 11/23, 6:40 p.m. A citizen reported that an unknown person
stole her daughter’s wallet containing cash and credit cards and two iPhone 6 chargers from the
center console of her unlocked vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

400 block Palmer Street, 11/23, 1:00 p.m. A City resident reported that an unknown person stole
an empty suitcase from the rear of her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
