Woman Resisted Arrested While Publicly Intoxicated In Stafford County, Police Say
Authorities said they found the Woodbridge woman walking on Richmond Highway in Stafford County.
STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A Woodbridge woman was arrested after a Stafford County deputy found her walking unsteadily along Richmond Highway while intoxicated, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
A deputy was traveling near Garrisonville Road and Richmond Highway around 10:25 p.m. Sunday when authorities said he saw a woman walking along the fog line of the roadway.
The deputy stopped to check on the woman and observed signs of impairment, including an odor of alcohol, the Sheriff's Office said.

The woman was identified as Sharney Stewart, 26, of Woodbridge.
When the deputy informed Stewart she was under arrest, she resisted, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Stewart was charged with public intoxication, obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct. She was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
