Yellow Jackets Run by Stafford, 41-17
Preston's three score night epitomizes a dominant evening for Yellow Jackets.

Riding an impressive effort from senior Running back Ethan Preston, James Monroe defeated Stafford 41-17 Friday night to improve to 2-0 on the season.
Preston bounced off tacklers all night, racking up 171 yards on 22 carries and scored three times.
"My linemen were helping me all the way out there tonight," reflected Preston after the game. "I give them so much credit because I wouldn't have gotten anywhere without them."

Standout junior quarterback Demontaz Brown did his part, throwing for two scores and rushing for another.
After leading 21-10 at halftime, the Yellow Jackets outscored Stafford 20-7 in the 2nd half. Junior RB Adrian Boone shouldered much of the fourth quarter rushing load after Preston came out of the game with a minor leg injury.
