(potomaclocal.com) — House of Mercy, just outside Gainesville, has lost 75 pallet spaces of storage, forcing it to close a third of its thrift-store floor and sharply cut furniture help for struggling families. The nonprofit has raised about $100,000 of the $350,000 needed to lease new bays, restore its showroom, protect its Christmas with Mercy toy program, and move toward a full-choice food pantry serving tens of thousands locally.
