• Goochland healthcare provider charged on sexual battery (foxrichmond.com) — Goochland authorities say a 49-year-old healthcare provider has been charged with aggravated sexual battery involving an adult patient during exams at a local pain clinic between 2021 and 2023. The suspect was booked at Pamunkey Regional Jail and released on bond September 4. Investigators are asking anyone in Goochland with information to contact the sheriff's office at 804-556-5349.
   

• Collegiate XC Meet #1 2026 (milesplit.com) — Goochland High School's girls cross-country team opened their season at Collegiate's Weldon Bradshaw Course, placing second behind host Collegiate. Sylvia Wirsing and Emma Arnold led Goochland's runners, with the team posting a solid pack of finishers through Melina Nguyen and Lia Melton. These results give Goochland families an early look at how the Bulldogs stack up this fall.
   

• Energy costs a concern for residents as Dominion-NextEra merger considered (pilotonline.com) — A proposed Dominion–NextEra merger has Virginians worried about higher power bills and job security, including a Goochland resident who pressed Lt.
