• Herndon Man Indicted On Federal Illegal Reentry Charge (patch.com) — Herndon residents are learning more about a local man now facing a federal felony charge for illegal reentry after being arrested by Herndon police in May. Newly filed court records detail how fingerprints from his Herndon arrest linked him to prior removals from the U.S., and outline his upcoming plea and sentencing hearing in Alexandria, alongside pending Fairfax and Loudoun cases.
   

• NoVA Man Sentenced In 2025 Fatal Herndon Shooting (patch.com) — Herndon neighbors now have closure in the 2025 Elden Street shooting that left 39-year-old Jason Andrew Hann dead. A Northern Virginia man who admitted firing the fatal shot from inside his Tesla has been sentenced to an active term of five years and eight months in prison, near the top of state guidelines.
   

• Kongsberg Wins $404M Contract for Naval Strike Missile Systems (clearancejobs.com) — Herndon-based Affigent LLC has secured a $65 million Marine Corps contract to provide deployable IT hardware and licenses, with all work slated to be performed in Herndon through March 2027. This long-term federal project could support local tech jobs and strengthen the town's role in defense-related technology and secure communications infrastructure.
