• Ararat man arrested in Fancy Gap Highway homicide (wdbj7.com) — Law enforcement has arrested an Ararat man in connection with a deadly shooting Tuesday evening on Fancy Gap Highway in the Cana area of Carroll County, near Hillsville. The sheriff's office, which has not yet identified the victim, credited the Hillsville Police Department and several other agencies for helping with the ongoing investigation.
