• King William County cancels contract for Flock cameras after vandalism, theft (pilotonline.com) — King William County has pulled all of its Flock license-plate cameras and canceled the contract after vandalism, a theft, and concerns about the $40,000 renewal cost. Sheriff Don Lumpkin says the cameras helped solve several cases, including assisting Caroline County in a homicide investigation, but believes the money can be better used elsewhere as privacy debates over such systems continue nationwide.
