Today’s Leesburg Patch newsletter is brought to you in part by T-Mobile. We thank T-Mobile for their support and for making today’s Leesburg Patch newsletter possible.

Here are the top three stories today in Leesburg:

  1. The Loudoun Fire Marshal's Office and Loudoun Fire and Rescue have donated over 100 books on fire safety and 911 to elementary schools in Loudoun County. The Fire Marshal and his team personally visited three schools to deliver the books and interact with students, aiming to promote fire and life safety education while encouraging reading. Some of the books were specifically created in Loudoun County to help young students learn about safety, utilizing the power of stories as effective tools for understanding the world around them. (Loudoun Now)
  2. A man in Leesburg reported being stabbed in the back by his cousin at his residence on Crestwood Street. The victim, in his 20s, suffered a large cut on his back and shoulder, requiring multiple stitches. The suspect, Joel Escobar Barrientos, 29, from Frederick, Maryland, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding. (Loudoun Times-Mirror)
  3. A fire at Leesburg Executive Airport in Loudoun County caused over $7 million in damage, with the cause of the fire still unknown. Fire and rescue crews quickly extinguished the fire, and no injuries were reported. The Loudoun County Fire Marshal's Office is currently investigating the incident. (WRIC ABC 8News)
