Inova Loudoun Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Kris Hematti, MSN, RN, RNC-MNN, NE-BC, as Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). In her role as CNO, Hematti will provide executive leadership to advance nursing excellence and evidence-based care across the hospital.
Hematti is an experienced nurse leader with a proven track record of strategically aligning teams with organizational goals for measurable, sustainable performance. Most recently, she served as Senior Director of Nursing for Women’s Services, Nursing Operations, and Professional Practice at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, where she led hospital‑wide patient throughput improvements, while strengthening professional practice infrastructure and facilitating system-wide interdisciplinary collaboration.
Previously, Hematti served as Senior Director of Nursing for Women’s Services at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, where she partnered to secure Virginia’s first Joint Commission Level IV Maternal Verification for the system, reducing serious maternal safety events and improving cesarean rate performance. Kris originally joined Inova in 2011 as a Registered Nurse at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus.

A nationally recognized nurse leader, Hematti is a recipient of the March of Dimes National Excellence in Perinatal Leadership Award and holds a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management and is board certified as a Nurse Executive.
