• Loudoun Sheriff Calls ICE Claims 'False,' Says Deputies Don't Enforce Immigration Law (dailyvoice.com) — Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman is disputing what he calls false claims about his office's work with ICE ahead of a Board of Supervisors discussion in Leesburg. He says deputies don't enforce immigration law in the field, only notify ICE in limited cases and hold inmates under a 287(g) program, while criticizing how the board's public discussion was organized.
• As I Lay Dying announce U.S. tour with Immortal Disfigurement (lambgoat.com) — Metalcore band As I Lay Dying is bringing its upcoming U.S. tour to Leesburg's Tally Ho Theater on February 16, giving local heavy music fans a rare big-name show close to home. The five-week tour supports their new self-titled album and features deathcore act Immortal Disfigurement on most dates across the country.
