Alexandria Man Killed Crossing Road In Lorton: Police
A pedestrian was struck and killed in Lorton Saturday night as he was crossing Ox Road, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
LORTON, VA — A pedestrian was struck and killed in Lorton Saturday night as he was crossing Ox Road, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
Victor Savier Barillas Delao, 28, of Alexandria, was crossing Ox Road from east to west, near Workhouse Road, when a person driving a 2015 Honda Accord struck him. Delao was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives from the police department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit are continuing to investigate the crash, which occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The police said Delao was crossing mid-block on Ox Road.

The driver of the Honda Accord was traveling south on Ox Road, approaching the intersection on a green light. The driver remained on the scene after hitting Delao. Police said they do not believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.

This is the second pedestrian fatality in the county in 2022, police said.
