• Fairfax leaders hopeful two-way I-95 toll lanes plan can fix 'biggest mistake' in Va. highways (ffxnow.com) — A major VDOT proposal to convert I-95 Express Lanes into two-way, 24/7 toll lanes could significantly change traffic patterns affecting Lorton neighborhoods. Fairfax leaders are generally supportive, but Mount Vernon Supervisor Dan Storck warned engineers to prevent cut-through traffic from spilling onto Lorton's local roads, with public outreach expected in 2027 and decisions by 2028.
