Join Northern Virginia sculptor Cindy Stevens for the opening reception of Beauty in the Unexpected, her first solo exhibition at the Workhouse Arts Center.
Through changes in scale, color, surface, and form, Stevens explores creatures and subjects that are often overlooked, feared, or misunderstood. The exhibition invites viewers to move beyond first impressions, discover the unexpected beauty revealed through curiosity, and reconnect with a natural world we may not realize we have been missing.
The opening reception will be held Saturday, August 8, from 6–9 p.m. in the Front Gallery of Building 5. The exhibition remains on view through September 6, 2026.
