South Fairfax Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce our third annual 10K event, to benefit the Academic and Athletic Programs at South County Secondary School. This day long event, hosted by the South Fairfax Chamber of Commerce will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2011, 8:00 AM-3:00 PM, at South County Secondary School in Lorton. Everyone is invited to attend our family friendly program. Serious runners can register for the 10K Race which is run on a USATF-certified course with electronic chip timing. There will be a 1 Mile Fun Run for all ages on the South County track. We will also be hosting a Children’s Fun Fair, with music, carnival style games, prizes, arts & crafts and the Iron Man Challenge. The Family Fitness Fair will feature informative exhibits, health screenings, nutrition counseling, and displays by local area businesses and organizations. There is a $200 cash prize for the first male and female finisher of the 10K race!
