Occoquan River Fest 2013 will be celebrating the river and its resources offering interactive presentations and recreational activities that illustrate the importance of the Occoquan watershed and the effect the river has on all our lives. This year the festival will feature some new , exhibitors as well as fun recreational activities for the whole family in the park.
In the town of Occoquan you can enjoy live music at the Blue Arbor Cafe, face painters at the Polka Dot Divas, and beer and wine tastings at Tastefully Yours and the Olde Dominion Wine Shop, and for the kids cake pops and cone cupcake specials at Sugar Buzz and MJ's ice cream.
Blue Arbor is offering a lunch special and the Cock and Bowl is featuring a mussels and Belgium beer for $14. Many other restaurants and shops will be offering specials.

A free history lecture at 4:00 p.m. inside the Occoquan Town Hall on the Suffragist movement by women in period costumes.
Stop in to see original artwork at the Loft Gallery, Artists' Undertaking, Art AlaCarte and Mill Street Studio's.
The event runs from 10 AM - 5 PM. The “Miss
Rivershore” boat will be offering a free water taxi service to take visitors between the town of Occoquan and Occoquan Regional Park. Parking is free at the park and under the bridge in Occoquan.
