Lorton Man Faces Multiple Charges After Eluding Police, Crashing Motorcycle: Police
Police say he disregarded officer's signal to stop.

Fairfax County Police say a Lorton man faces multiple charges after he allegedly disregarded an officer’s signal to stop.
The incident took place Friday afternoon at about 3:54 p.m., near Richmond Highway and Gunston Cove Road, police said.
That’s when an officer attempted to stop a motorcyclist for a traffic violation on Richmond Highway, according to police. The operator of the motorcycle disregarded the officer’s signal to stop and attempted to elude the officer, police said.

The driver lost control of the motorcycle and crashed and was arrested, according to police. Austin L. Sturgeon, 21, of Lorton, was charged with disregarding a police signal to stop, reckless driving, driving on a revoked license, resisting arrest, carrying a concealed weapon (2nd offense), and possession of marijuana. Police did not say what the traffic violation was that prompted the officer to pull over the cyclist.
Sturgeon was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital, police said.
