Lorton Woman Wakes Up to Burglar in Her Bedroom: Police

A Lorton woman awoke in the early hours Monday to a man in her bedroom, according to Fairfax County Police.

The burglary incident took place Monday at about 4:23 a.m. in the 9100 block of Furey Road in Lorton, police said.

A woman awoke to a noise and saw a man run out of her bedroom, according to police. The suspect took property and fled, police said. The victim was not physically injured, according to police.

The suspect was described as a male of short stature and wearing black clothing, police said.
