Northern Virginia Weather: Warmer Wednesday, But Snow in Extended Forecast
Not until Friday, according to the National Weather Service, will cold days return, then making for a chilly but manageable weekend.

STERLING, VA — Now that the nice little winter postcard system descended upon us late Sunday morning with the snow all but having disappeared by Monday afternoon, it's back to an ongoing trend that has winter feeling more like March.
Tuesday welcomed temperatures in the mid-50s, and Wednesday isn't expected to lag that much behind, according to the area arm of the National Weather Service, albeit with mostly cloudy skies.
Thursday should get just a tad chillier but with mostly sunny skies to go along with brisk winds.
